An Attempt To Define....

Let me define what defines us the most,

The thread of which holds us together, keeps us afloat,

The weft, which covers, surrounds us with warmth,

Its touch is what fills us with hope!

We crave for it, every moment of our life,

We search for it in every relation, every rhyme,

Wish it to begin, every breath we take, every song we sing.

It is the elixir, the Angel within!

Our existence is its gift,

Our end would be its start,

It nourishes the soul, rejuvenates, and sparks the hearts.

In its absence, the world would come to a naught.

The reason for Genesis, cause for one’s depart,

It can be fatal and reviving both,

And still can allure everyone to its shores!

What is it, is actually hard to explain,

Sometimes it’s deep, with unfathomable limits,

At times, it is shallow, like a pond with dirt,

But always its aura is lustrous and untouched.

Can elevate the soul, can lit up the mind,

It can do wonders, can make one blind,

Berserk you go, its intoxication is mad,

It is the most powerful drug one can have!

All the stories, good or bad,

With the battle for beauty or kingdom or fad,

It is the theme, which drives Men insane,

Leaving imprints on the waters of fame!

It is the magic, which colours the dark,

The flower, which brightens the shadows of loss,

Touch which heals, elevates the Man,

“Love” is the name responsible for all mentioned above!!
